Stated income loans

Since I heard about the brilliant idea of so called Stated Income Loans I started thinking about other fun alternatives to sound and reasonable banking.

Here's my suggestions:

Unexpected Income Loans

For those people who feel just a little bit of luck coming their way in a near future. They somehow sense that a pile of money will just magically appear sometime next year and because they are so convinced, we will grant them a loan of any size. No need for security, but if they can back it up with some Tarot card readings or some tea leaves we will consider it a bonus.

diaspora* - What we've all been waiting for?

So I wanted to post something about the four guys in NY and their amazing new concept. They call it diaspora* and after less than a month they have raised almost $200 000 in starting capital. Now the cool thing about diaspora isn't just that they want to give us a user-controlled way to connect to our friends and share things with them. They are actually starting the much-needed process of reshaping the structure of the internet.

Maxwell, Daniel, Raphael and Ilya were inspired by a very interesting lecture about privacy on the internet and specifically in the cloud. Click the link and watch it when you have an hour to spare - it's really interesting.

I really hope these guys will get this thing on the road. Soon. Since I deleted my Facebook profile I have more and more realized that I do not need it, and many others have the same idea. I also believe that we need something else, something to replace the crappy platforms and deliver us to some new state of online well-being. People are not sure what they want, but what many of us have already concluded is that we need something else.

The lecturer Eben Moglen (link above) suggested many very compelling solutions to this "else". Moar moar moar
